Folk dresses from Skopje, Bitola (Smilevo) and Pirin Macedonia

The embroidery and the woman who embroiders have represented a creational universality from ancient times, a life choice and a string in the macedonian folklore. They were a constant companion for all generations, their travellings and destiny, and which were handed down through tradition throughout generations and the sound of the macedonian folk song from time immemorial.

Since 1971, in August, one can hear music, songs, see the folk dances on the banks of the river Drim and the coast of the lake, through the old streets, and the streets paved with cobblestones. But above all this - the glamour and the richness of a very old original culture - the folk dresses.
